Baby Burnham

I had another ultrasound today and all is well. Baby Burnham is growing and developing on target. I am 7.5 weeks, will be 8 weeks this Saturday. I have had the pleasure of experiencing “morning sickness” lately. This may sound weird, but I am excited to be sick, as it is usually a good indicator that things are still okay.

My doctor is being very cautious, which I guess is a good thing. She wants me to come in again next Friday for another ultrasound and then two weeks later for another one. She then will refer me to an OBGYN high risk pregnancy specialist for additional testing on the baby. After all that, if all is still well, she will then release me back to my normal OBGYN. This is such a crazy process, but it will all be worth it in the end.

Here is a pic of Baby Burnham at 7.5 weeks:

Cautiously optimistic!

I had my ultrasound today and was really scared what they might find. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The ultrasound tech said they probably won’t see much since I’m pretty early in the pregnancy. After a few minutes she exclaimed, “oh look, there’s the heartbeat”. We got to see the heartbeat and hear it. That was awesome! None of my previous pregnancies ever developed enough to have a heartbeat. It is just one baby, thank goodness!

I am currently six weeks pregnant and my due date is June 12. I am excited now, but am still being a little cautious as it is still early. I go back on October 29th for the second ultrasound.

Great progress

Another blood test today. My HCG level was 8,826 which is excellent. Things are progressing well. At this time I have made it past when my second and third miscarriage happened. I go back on Thursday for an ultrasound.

More good news

I had my second blood test this morning. The results are good. My HCG level has continued to increase, it is now at 436 and the average for this time is 300. So things look great so far. I go back next Monday for another blood test.

Certainly this is all really good news, but I can’t help to be very cautious. My first miscarriage happened at 8 weeks, my second and third at five weeks. I am still less than five weeks pregnant right now, so nowhere near out of the words. However, every positive test is progress and I am very thankful for that. I can’t wait until I can finally exhale and not worry so much about this and actually be excited. I just need to get through the first trimester and then will feel much better about everything.

Keep praying!

Two pink lines

I had my blood pregnancy test this morning. They called me at 1pm at work and informed me that I am pregnant. Yea! My HCG level is 110 which is right where it should be at this time. Right now, things are looking really good. I go back to the doctor on Monday morning for another blood test to make sure my HCG levels are continuing to increase.

This is such an emotional rollercoaster. I am very happy  and thankful I am pregnant. I praise God for this. However, I am also being very sober minded. I can’t forget my history of three early miscarriages. I don’t want to get my hopes up, to get them smashed again. So for now, I’m trying to stay level headed about all of this.

Thanks for the prayers and keep praying!
